That is why bounties are a popular marketing technique in the crypto and NFT industries. Promotional events known as "bounties" (which generally last 4-12 weeks) are organized by respectable community members (also known as "bounty managers"), and only announced on low-profile community sites if you were unfamiliar with this marketing strategy.A bounty event is a type of competition in which users create content on their social media or blogs, and they are paid weekly for reported work. The bounty event is generally intended to create early exposure for a new cryptocurrency by rewarding individuals directly in that currency. Some bounty events are geared towards expanding the community around a well-known token.

NFT bounties are the new rage

Before non-fungible tokens (NFTs) became popular, there was another digital collectible known as Pepe cards. Based on the meme of a frog with humanlike features, Pepe cards were popularized by the /r9k/ board on 4chan and later spread to other online communities. Unlike NFTs, which are stored on a blockchain and can be traded or sold like cryptocurrency, Pepe cards existed purely as images that could be shared online. While they may not have had the same monetary value as NFTs, Pepe cards were still highly coveted by collectors due to their rarity and connection to Internet culture. In 2017, one Pepe card was sold for over $200,000 worth of Ethereum, showing that even then, there was a market for digital collectibles. Today, Pepe cards have largely been forgotten in the wake of NFT mania. However, they remain an important part of internet history and a reminder of how quickly fortunes can change in the world of digital collectibles.
